Civil engineering is used to design the cities of the future, a concept which aims to create efficient and sustainable urban environments in order to improve the quality of life of their dwellers. Some key characteristics of these cities are: sustainable mobility and infrastructures, and urban settings for citizens and advanced technology.
At our School the research group in Mobility and Land Planning (Mob&UP) works on areas such as estimating demand and planning transport and mobility, and evaluating, diagnosing and planning for the impacts associated with transport.
