UCLM Social Action Commission

Regulation:

This Commission is regulated by the Social Action Regulation approved by the Board of Governors and amended by the Board of Governors dated 14th of December 2009.

Makeup:

Regulated by article 5 of the Social Action Regulation, whose makeup will be among the university and the different trade unions. The chairperson will be the Chancellor or delegate. For the trade union part there will be a representative for each trade union represented on the Staff Board. The university representatives will be designated by the Chancellor, who will also appoint a Secretary for this meeting who will have voice but no vote.

Health and Safety at Work Committee

Regulation:

It is regulated by the Regulation for Organization and Running of the Health and Safety at Work Committee, approved by the Board of Governors dated 23rd of July 1997 and published in the Official University Gazette on the 15th of October 1997.

The Health and Safety at Work Committee is made up of sixteen members, eight representing the Institution and eight members designated to represent staff.

Duties

  • To have direct knowledge of the situation in relation to occupational hazard prevention, and to make visits deemed pertinent for this purpose
  • To know how many documents and reports relating to work conditions are necessary to fulfil their duties, as well as those from the activity of the occupational hazard prevention service, if applicable.
  • To know and analyse the damage to health or to physical integrity of the workers, in order to assess their causes and put forward the pertinent preventative measures.
  • To know and inform about the report and annual programme for occupational hazard prevention services.

Commission for Training Administrative and Services Staff

Regulation:

This Commission is regulated by the Regulation on the Commission for  Training Administrative and Services Staff which was approved by the Board of Governors on the 14th of December 2010.

Makeup:

According to this Regulation:

  • "The Training Commission will be made up of eight members, of whom four will represent the university and the other four will represent trade unions, one member for each which is represented at the UCLM.
  • Each of the members of the Commission will have a substitute which will be able to attend the meetings with the same rights and duties but without voting rights, except when the head who is entitled to vote does not attend.
  • Consultants may join for each of the parts, university and trade union representatives.
  • The Chairperson of the Commission will be designated by a Ruling from Management.
  • The Secretary of the Commission will be put forward by the Management among its staff"

Duties

  • To carry out the training model in skills put forward in the new RPT (Positions List) for the UCLM Administrative and Services Staff.
  • To approve the proposals of the Training Plans which will be presented to Management for final approval.
  • To programme, in accordance with the skills development model, all training activities contained in the corporative training plans.
  • To evaluate the training activities and their impact  in an organizational context.
  • Technical supervision of training.
  • To ensure the Training Plans are correctly complied with.
  • To ensure there is transparency in the training process at all times.
  • To evaluate training activities.
  • To listen to and resolve the complaints and claims made while it is carried out.
  • To ensure the schedule for foreseen activities is complied with.
  • To incorporate improvements for running the Training Plan.  

 

Commission for Centres, Departments and Institutes

Regulation:

The Board of Governors on 12th of December 2005 agreed to the creation of a Commission for Administration and Services Staff to study these in centres and the proposal of a model for allocation of staff, which has made studies on the administrative staff at the centres, having put forward alternative models for  its makeup and presented a parameterization model to the Board of Governors based on workloads

  • To supervise running the UCLM Pensions Plan promoted for public employees at the university which is regulated by that set out in the Technical Specifications passed by the Plan Promotion Commission on the 5th of July 2007.
  • To ensure that the Management Entities and Payments Office strictly comply with their duties in the interests of the participants and beneficiaries of the plan.
  • To take decisions of a different nature on procedures, the situation of participants, appointment of representatives to the Commission for Control of Pensions Funds, approval of accounts and other activities derived from the responsibilities conferred on it by the legislation in force.
