27/02/2025

The rector of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Julián Garde, and the vice-rector for Innovation, Coordination, and Institutional Development, Ángela González Moreno, have met with representatives from the Group of Social Entities CECAP and Laborvalía to learn about the 2025 program of the Inclusion and Social Innovation Classroom. Among the planned innovations are the incorporation of micro-credentials and two exhibitions.

The meeting, held at the Campus of the Old Weapons Factory in Toledo, was also attended by the president of Laborvalía, Raimundo Alcaide Díaz; the president of the Group of Social Entities CECAP, Andrés Martínez Medina; the manager of Laborvalía, Alfonso Gutiérrez Caballero; the director of the Inclusion and Social Innovation Classroom, Sonia Morales; and the director of the Social Development and Innovation Area, Vicente Martínez Medina. The meeting emphasized the consolidation of the Classroom, which is celebrating its fourth year of activity, highlighting its key role in training, awareness, and outreach in the area of social inclusion.

Among the strategic lines that will continue to be developed are training activities aimed at students, professionals from the third sector, and people with disabilities, in addition to seminars, awareness-raising sessions, and thematic exhibitions. The micro-credentials, as a significant innovation, aim to provide participants with academic certifications recognizing the skills they have acquired in the Classroom, strengthening their professional profiles and facilitating their employability. Exhibitions such as Superheroes, which highlights the values of people with disabilities, and an exhibition of the results of the Digitalization and Document Management Course at the Regional Archive of Castilla-La Mancha will also be presented.

Other planned actions for this year include the Futurempleo Digitalization Course, aimed at people with intellectual disabilities, with theoretical and practical training in document management and digitalization; the Master's program for people with disabilities, which promotes autonomy and personal development through specialized training and internships in standardized environments; and the Non-Profit Entity Economic and Fiscal Management Course, aimed at students and professionals in the Third Sector.

Furthermore, the Strategic CSR Management Course, the 2nd Edition of the Diversity Management in the Classroom Course, and various training actions for professionals in the Third Sector will be organized, all aimed at strengthening technical skills and promoting inclusive environments. Seminars on leadership and talent in the Third Sector, as well as on barriers and strategies for the employment of people with disabilities, will also be developed.

In the area of outreach, the Classroom will organize the 4th Inclusion and Diversity Care Conference, aiming to share best practices, create spaces for debate, and strengthen knowledge about social inclusion. Additionally, scientific publications on employment barriers for people with disabilities and new intervention methodologies will be promoted.

In the area of awareness-raising, university colloquiums on volunteering, strategic CSR management, and innovative intervention methodologies will be held, as well as the Renueva Workshop, focused on environmental awareness and inclusion.

The Inclusion and Social Innovation Classroom at UCLM is the result of collaboration between the University of Castilla-La Mancha and third-sector entities, such as the CECAP Group and Laborvalía, with the goal of promoting inclusion through training and social innovation. Its consolidation and growth reflect the joint commitment to continue advancing in this area, promoting accessible educational spaces and real opportunities for all.
