Responsibilities
A

ccording to the Ruling of 04/04/2016 of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, on delegation of responsibilities of the Chancellor for different matters and institutions, the Vice-chancellor for Internationalization and Lifelong Learning oversees:

  • Signing agreements with foreign universities related with degrees and Master´s degrees and with combined teaching leading to the awarding of degrees and Master´s degrees.
  • The powers and responsibilities referring to regulation, approval and supervision, if applicable, of lifelong learning educational programmes and for university degrees and education, as well as signing agreements for implementing  undergraduate studies  together with other national or foreign universities or for financing these degrees.
  • The responsibilities the Chancellor has regarding internationalization, especially related to the  international image  of the university, with the support of   international relations   the research groups have and for signing agreements necessary for these, if applicable, as well as powers in international cooperation and cooperation for carrying this out, including authorization, allocation of expenses and recognition of duties, regarding budgets for the latter.
  • The responsibilities the Chancellor has in management, promotion and making the mobility programmes perfect for the students and for attracting foreign students, both from Europe and internationally, and signing any necessary agreements for this.
  • Within the scope of international mobility programmes for students, responsibilities for recognition and transference of credits as well as validation or adaptation of subjects or credits and those regarding  rulings  on how many appeals students make against judgements or the outcomes of these actions, unless  these rulings or actions have been made by the Vice-Chancellor for Internationalization and Lifelong Learning.
  • In coordination with the Vice-chancellor´s office for Teaching Staff and Research and Scientific Policy and with  Management, the responsibilities related to encouraging mobility, both on a European and international level, of the teaching staff and the administration and services staff of the  University of Castilla-La Mancha and signing the necessary agreements for these.
  • The responsibilities related to foreign languages training and teaching Spanish as a foreign language as well as signing collaboration agreements for validating language levels.
  • Judgements on as many appeals students make against rulings the university takes regarding  undergraduate studies, unless these rulings or actions have been made by the Vice-Chancellor for Internationalization and lifelong learning.
  • As many powers and responsibilities conferred to the chancellor for official representation of the university before the authorities and before any type of person or public or private institution of the Toledo campus and for signing agreements, if applicable, provided that due to the subject matter, authority for signing these agreements does not specifically lie with another university institution. However, in this case, the Vice-chancellor for internationalization and Lifelong learning may endorse these agreements provided there is a  report in their favour  from the authorized institution on the matter.
  • In general, as many powers conferred on the Chancellor in the field of internationalization and lifelong learning by the legislation in force, the University Statutes and other regulations applicable.
