General Information

General Information:

The aim of this PhD Doctoral Program is to form doctoral students able to develop scientific tasks related to the study field of Chemistry and Food Technology and to provide them with the appropriate formation to develop a high-quality research activity.

The different research groups that participate in this PhD program develop different research lines which are sufficiently diverse to ensure that methodical research training takes place in an interdisciplinary, cooperative and international environment. Specifically, this doctoral program aims to gat that PhD students:

 
  • Be able to apply the scientific method for solving professional and high-level research problems.
  • Demonstrate a systematic comprehension of the Chemistry research field.
  • Master the skills and research methods related to Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Food Chemistry and Technology. 
  • Master the use of scientific bibliography and be able to gather, group and classify scientific information on a given topic. 
  • Be able to carry out and plan original research activity. 
  • Be able to perform a critical analysis of research data, evaluation and synthesis in existing or new situations of different degrees of complexity. 
  • Be able to write a doctoral thesis based on the bibliographic background, experimental data and research conclusions. 
  • Know how to communicate and discuss proposals and conclusions of their research in forums.
