Responsibilities
A

ccording to the ruling of 04/04/2016 of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, on  the delegation of responsibilities of the Chancellor in different matters and institutions, the Vice-chancellor´s office for Transference and Innovation is responsible for.

  • Authorization and signing of contracts and agreements to carry out scientific, technical or artistic works as well as to carry out specialized education or specific training activities as foreseen in article 83 of the Organic Law of Universities and in article 170 of the University Statutes, unless these are degrees of the university, as well as harmonization, if applicable, of the teaching staff at the University of Castilla-La Mancha who participate in these activities.
  • Authorize and request registration of patents and prototypes from research.
  • Responsibilities in technology-based (spin-offs) business creation matters 
  • Responsibilities in employment matters for the students.
  • Responsibilities in the field of relationships with companies and institutions, especially those whose aim is to sign agreements for cooperation in education in order for the university students to carry out work placements, without detriment to the powers which by signing agreements on work placements are conferred to other university institutions.
  • As many powers and responsibilities conferred to the Chancellor for official representation of the university before the authorities and before any type of person or public or private institution on the Albacete campus and for signing agreements, if applicable, provided that due to the subject matter, authority for signing these agreements does not specifically lie with another university institution. However, in this case, the Vice-chancellor for Transference and Innovation may endorse these agreements provided there is a report in their favour from the authorized institution on the matter.
  • In general, as many powers conferred on the Chancellor in the field of transference and innovation by the legislation in force, the University Statutes and other regulations applicable.
