Responsibilities
A

ccording to the Ruling of 04/04/2016 of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, on delegation of responsibilities of the Chancellor for different matters and institutions, the Vice-chancellor for Teaching Staff oversees:

  • Responsibilities in relation to public sector teaching staff and other teachers employed at the University of Castilla-La Mancha foreseen in the Organic Law 6/2001 of the 21st of December, of Universities, the general legislation on civil service and specific legislation regarding public sector university teaching staff and in legislation applicable to the employment of teaching staff, as well as the Collective Agreement which affects the latter, the University Statutes and other supplementary regulations, concordants or the implementation of these.
  • Responsibilities in academic affairs regarding teaching staff, among which are the procedures for changing assignment of the area of knowledge of teaching staff and researchers and public employees at the university.
  • The Chair of the Selection Commission for the provision of teaching places with work contracts or those of a temporary nature as referred to in article 121.2 of the University of Castilla-La Mancha Statutes.
  • The responsibilities related to acknowledgment of teaching merits for the university staff.
  • Higher management powers and coordinating the university Inspection Services.
  • The powers and responsibilities in academic discipline matters in general, as well as disciplinary power as regards the teaching staff, except for applying penalties for very serious offences.
  • In general, as many powers granted to the Chancellor in relation to teaching staff at the university by the legislation in force, the University Statutes and other regulations that result from applying this.
